Privacy
Short version: your list never leaves your device, and we do not track you.
Your list
The people on your list, your settings and your notes are saved in this browser's local storage. They are never sent to us or anyone else. Checking a title happens on your device: the page fetches the title's cast and crew and compares them with your list right there. Clearing your browser data deletes the list, so save a backup file if it matters to you.
Lookups
Searches and cast lookups go from your browser to our server, which asks Wikidata and passes the answer back. That way Wikidata never sees your address. The text you search for travels in the body of the request, not in the web address, so it does not end up in request logs. We keep no record of who looked up what. Wikidata's public answers are cached for up to a day so repeat lookups are fast; the cache holds Wikidata's data, not who asked. When you build the list of titles to skip, the page asks for each person's credits by their Wikidata number, one request per person, in the same way.
Share links
A share link contains the names and settings of your list after the # sign. Browsers never send that part to any server, so the list goes straight from you to the person you send the link to. Notes are not included.
What we count
- Which pages are visited, the website that sent you (only its name), and your device type.
- Your approximate location (country, region, city) as reported by our hosting provider. We do not store IP addresses.
- Unique visitors per day, using a code our server derives from your IP address and browser that changes every day. Nothing is stored on your device for this, and there are no cookies.
- That someone checked a title, added people, built a list of titles to skip, or saved or shared a list. Never names, titles or notes.
